India vs Sri Lanka 2nd ODI – India win by 6 wickets
Ambati Rayudu celebrated his maiden ODI century to give India a 2-0 lead in the five-match series against Sri Lanka at Ahmedabad. His previous highest score was when he scored unbeaten 64 against England at Trent Bridge. The 29-year-old Rayudu had his share of problems earlier in his career, being banned for participation in the rebellion T20 league, the Indian Cricket League. Promoted to bat at number three, Rayudu remained unbeaten with a chanceless 121 off 118 as India romped home with a 6 wicket victory. He shared two hundred run stands, first with Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli as India chased down Sri Lanka’s score of 274 for eight in only 44.3 overs.
