India Srilanka 3rd ODI 2014 – Sri Lanka bowled out for 242

After winning the toss at the 3rd One Day International against India being played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Uppal, Hyderabad, the visitors chose to bat first. Their innings got off to a rocky start losing 2 wickets (Perrea 4, Sangakkara 0) in the first 3 overs. Jayawardene’s century (118) and Dilshan’s valiant contribution of 53 were not enough to take the Sri Lankan total over 300, as the rest of the batting order crumbled and they were bowled out for 242 in 48.2 overs.

Umesh Yadav who took 4 wickets in 9 overs giving away 53 runs and Akshar Patel who took 3 wickets in 10 overs conceding only 40 runs were the stars on the Indian bowling side today.
